Profile a Work in Progress
Hello, I am new. I am not familiar with the terms or customs here yet. I am fine with whatever postcards you want to send. If you don't receive something, let me know. I usually don't mind resending if the person is polite.
I typically, but not always, mark my items as sent when they are in my mailbox, so there might still be a day before they actually get postmarked. Sometimes I drop them off at the post office when I'm picking things up, but there can still be the one day delay if I go after hours.
I will be okay with whatever postcard you choose for me, but if you want ideas here are some in no particular order:
Postcrossing Meetup
Watercolors
Anything related to my hobbies and interests
Favorite colors: Blue, particularly the middle and darker shades, but I like all blues; Purple (darker shades), and grey
I write about things going on in my life and my thoughts and feelings, ranging from casual to serious.
Hobbies and Interests: writing (fiction, both original and fanfiction of a variety of genres), learning languages (Japanese, German, Hindi*), sudoku, astrology, tarot, lexicography, linguistics, math, engineering, research, stationery, video games (roguelikes, strategy, RPG, visual novels and otome games), escape rooms, guinea pigs, and dogs
Languages I know to any degree: English, Hindi, German, Japanese, Spanish (I took this in high school and am no longer studying, but still remember pieces of)
*If you know any declining or endangered languages (basically any language that has a small amount of speakers) I would love to learn about it in your card.
**I sometimes explore astrology (mostly Vedic) and tarot β usually as a way of conducting personal experiments or reflection. I may write about these topics in my postcards, but Iβm not trying to convince anyone or start a debate. I'm just sharing whatβs on my mind. Vedic astrology has deep roots in Hinduism and Indian culture, and exists outside the typical Christianity-based debate framework.
I used to enjoy reading but have been dealing with burnout for a long time. However, I am currently enjoying Frieren: Beyond Journey's End, the first thing I've enjoyed in forever. I have caught up. There is hope in recovering from reading burnout, everyone!
Random fact: I collect keychains, particularly a subset of my collection are souvenir ones that swivel about an axis.
Favorite TV Shows: Parks and Recreation, Psych
Other Shows I've enjoyed: Young Sheldon, Sherlock (BBC), Fairly Legal, Leverage, Umbrella Academy, Big Bang Theory. If you have recommendations I am all ears.
I am open to penpals.
