Update from October 30, 2025!

Hello everyone, Swapbot members!

After several months away and a lot of challenges in my life, I'm back on Swapbot! On my birthday, I'm updating my profile! It needed it; it was a bit of a mess, and a lot has changed since then!

My name is Jean-Baptiste, I'm diagnosed with autism, and I live in Cognac, a small town of fewer than 20,000 inhabitants in the Charente region of France! I'm a huge nature and animal lover! At home, we have two cats, Julia and Ysadora! My Nunuk passed away in May 2024. He was a wonderful gray and white cat. It's been very difficult to live without him! Julia is a very sweet cat born in July 2014; she's all gray and has beautiful green eyes. We found her in our garden when she was a kitten, she was tiny. Ysadora, nicknamed Zaza, is a dark tortoiseshell cat born in May 2024. We adopted her in July 2024. She's very mischievous, a real whirlwind when she wants to be, but I adore her; she's very close to me. She really helped me get through a difficult time! I'm an amateur wildlife photographer! I generally photograph birds and insects! For the past few years, I've been creating a cabinet of curiosities and antiques at home! I love adding pieces like taxidermied specimens that I buy, small skulls, stones, etc. Since the beginning of 2025, my cabinet of curiosities has also included quite a few seashells! I'm becoming more and more interested in shells, whether they're marine or terrestrial! I'm starting to have a nice little collection! I collect them and buy them from collectors! I also collect beautiful bird feathers that I find.

I also love making things with my hands! I like to fill my living room table with all my crafting supplies and spend a lot of time making postcards, ATCs, envelopes, etc. Right now, I love making pop-up cards with different mechanisms! I also love stamping! I recently bought quite a few stamps and I love embellishing my creations and envelopes with them! I also love using my die-cutting machine and dies to make dies!

I'm also a stamp collector, especially those with bird, animal, Chinese New Year, and Europa themes! I also like maxi cards with bird designs.

I also love watching movies and TV series; they're so much fun! Whether it's science fiction, detective novels, Christmas movies, etc., I like pretty much everything except horror films!

I love anything about birds, insects, cats, and all animals! I adore stickers, washi tape, postcards, handmade items, and vintage illustrations. I'm a lover of old books; I love the smell of old books and antique papers—I find the scent truly wonderful! I don't like the smell of new books, but I love old books!

My favorite holidays are Christmas and Halloween! Why Christmas? I think I'm a big romantic. I love Christmas movies, carols, and the whole Christmas atmosphere—basically, everything about Christmas! I also really love Halloween, pumpkins, and ghosts!
